Artist Bio
Sachal Rizvi is an architect, illustrator and artist based
between Tallinn and Lahore. He received his B.Arch in
Architectural Design from the National College of Arts (2013)
and an MA in Contemporary Arts from the Estonian Academy
of Arts (2024). His professional work spans architectural
illustration, concept art, and storyboarding, and he has
exhibited both locally and internationally in numerous group
and solo exhibitions. Sachal's art practice explores expanded
approaches to drawing, using spontaneity and improvisation
to investigate lived experience, temporality, and imagination.
His recent work with automatic drawing and drawing scores
encourages collaborative knowledge production and opens
up a dialogue between individual and collective creativity. He
also approaches drawing as a tool for accessing and
examining shifting mental states and inner landscapes.
