L’atelier d’Art Trence invites international artists to apply for the opportunity to become part of our curated presentation at Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt 2026.

For this Open Call, one artist will be selected to join L’atelier d’Art Trence in Frankfurt.

We are looking for a distinctive artistic voice — work with its own presence, material language and story.

The Open Call is international and welcomes both emerging and established artists.

ARTISTIC FIELDS

Contemporary Art · Sculpture · Textile Art · Mixed Media · 3D Art · Installation

Interdisciplinary practices are also welcome.

ONE ARTIST WILL JOIN US

The selected artist will become part of the curated L’atelier d’Art Trence presentation at Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt 2026.

Participation includes:

• presentation of the selected artwork at our Frankfurt fair stand
• integration of the work into the gallery’s overall curatorial presentation
• professional presentation of the artist and artwork during the fair
• presentation to fair visitors, collectors and art professionals
• inclusion in L’atelier d’Art Trence communication related to Frankfurt
• social media presentation connected with the fair
• representation of the artwork during the fair
• consideration for future exhibitions, projects and collaborations with L’atelier d’Art Trence

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

Participation Fee

The participation fee for the selected artist is:

€655

The participation fee applies to one artwork not exceeding 1 × 1.1 m.

The final artwork must be approved by L’atelier d’Art Trence before participation is confirmed.

For sculptural, three-dimensional or installation works, dimensions and presentation requirements will be considered individually according to the available stand space and the curatorial concept.

Sales & Gallery Commission

Artworks may be offered for sale during the fair.

L’atelier d’Art Trence retains a 28% commission on the final selling price of artworks sold through the Frankfurt presentation.

The artist receives the remaining 72% of the final selling price.

The same 28% commission applies to a sale completed within 30 days after the end of the fair when the buyer was introduced to the artist or the specific artwork through L’atelier d’Art Trence during the Frankfurt presentation and the sale results directly from that introduction.

Artwork Price

The selling price of the selected artwork must be agreed with L’atelier d’Art Trence before the fair.

The artist must provide the final retail price of the artwork prior to participation.

Once confirmed, the selling price should remain consistent throughout the Frankfurt presentation.

Shipping & Transport

The artist is responsible for the safe delivery of the selected artwork to the address and by the deadline provided by L’atelier d’Art Trence.

The artist is also responsible for return shipping or collection of an unsold artwork after the presentation, unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing.

The artwork must be delivered ready for professional presentation and securely packed for transport.

Installation & Curatorial Presentation

The final placement and presentation of all artworks within the stand will be determined by L’atelier d’Art Trence.

This allows us to create a coherent curatorial presentation and to meet the spatial and technical requirements of the fair.

For artworks requiring special installation, the artist must provide all relevant technical information in advance.

SELECTION

Applications will be reviewed by L’atelier d’Art Trence.

The selection will be based on the artistic quality and individuality of the work, as well as its relationship to the overall curatorial concept planned for Frankfurt.

Submitting an application does not constitute automatic acceptance and does not create any financial obligation.

Only the selected artist will be invited to confirm participation and pay the €655 participation fee.

Participation is confirmed after acceptance of the final participation conditions and receipt of the participation fee.
